New OpenFace course on circularity for facade design
The new course “Circularity Principels for Facade Engineering” is now available on the project’s education platform.
The course aims to shed light on how circularity can be integrated into facade design. The reuse of materials, reduction of waste and the creation of adaptable and sustainable building envelopes are circular strategy that can be applied to facade engineering. Who is the course for?
- architects
- designers
- engineers
- building professionals
The course will cover theoretical foundations, practical design strategies, and the assessment methods for circular facade design, exploring also the future potential. The course will also review successful implementations in real-life projects and provide with practical insights.
Duration: 6 weeks (3-4 hours per week), but it is self-paced
Instructors: Miren Juaristi Gutierrez (Researcher at Eurac Research), Bernadette Lang-Eurisch (Researcher at Technical University Darmstadt), Isabelle Ayvaz (PhD Student at Technical University Darmstadt).
